What makes Bravebastards strong?
Brave Bastards is a meaningful English phrase. Brave means courageous or bold; bastards literally means illegitimate children and is normally used as an insult or as a rough, ironic label for an unconventional group. The combination therefore suggests rebellious behaviour with courage and is not an abstract invented name.
The repetition of the B sound gives the name a firm rhythm and makes both word elements readily recognisable. At the same time, bastards is confrontational and informal, so the tone remains pronounced. The name is more suitable for a brand deliberately choosing a raw, challenging or contrarian position.
For a Dutch extension with more than ten letters, the base value is 800. The clear alliterative rhythm increases the name value, while the negative and coarse association of bastards offsets that increase. The unrounded price assessment therefore comes to 800.
