What makes Signalnoise strong?
SignalNoise is not an established general or technical term as a complete compound, but combines the English words signal and noise. In signal processing, electronics and telecommunications, signal and noise are literally contrasted when assessing transmission quality, measurements and interference. The name therefore has a clear technical association.
The capitalised form SignalNoise makes the two word elements immediately legible. Its English construction is also reasonably recognisable to Dutch speakers, although noise may be pronounced differently. The name is particularly suited to fields where data, measurements, audio or communications are filtered, analysed or clarified.
